Nashville is so much fun. It is a great destination for a group of friends as well as for families. It has lots of music and food and culture to experience. It is home of Vanderbilt University as well so it has some college town vibe mixed into the city that make it feel very fun, young and vibrant.

What to do?
Belle Meade Plantation Winery – This is a fun experience if you want to get a bit out of the city. They offer a wine tasting and a tour of the property. Setting up the tour in advance is a good idea so avoid waiting.
Wild Horse Saloon– Great place to stop in and take a line dancing lesson, listen to some great music and grab some sips and bites. We had a great time taking the line dancing class and it is so much fun when the room is all participating together. There is something so cool about everyone getting these steps together and dancing them out.
Grand Ole Opry– Fun place to see live musicians perform and to marvel in the beauty of this timeless theatre.
Where to eat? In Nashville, there is no shortage of good places to eat. This is definitely a place to come to enjoy eating your way through the city if your heart so desires. I found that breakfast places were very popular in this city and they do it very well.
Milk and Honey – Yummy breakfast bites in great location.
Biscuit Love – Yummy biscuits. So worth a taste. You can take some to go or sit down and have meal.
Pancake Pantry– Yummy pancakes of all types. The line is long but don’t be intimidated by it. The line moves and the pancakes are yummy.

The Frothy Monkey – Great coffee shop for a morning or afternoon pick me up.

Wanna Spoon Cereal Bar– Fun concept restaurants with an instagramable photo wall. If you have kids or teens with you, they are gonna love this one.

Husk– southern cooking with a twist. Fresh ingredients in a great location.
Where to shop? There are tons of shops that are fun and unique in this music city. You can find anything for boutiques to souvenirs to hats to boots and everything in between. You can find items you are looking for in a variety of price points as well which is nice. This truly leaves something for everyone. Sometimes, you can even find upcoming musicians performing inside of the stores while you shop. It is a win win!
12 South – Here you will find some great boutiques with fun finds. Most of the shops here are women’s clothing with a few other shops mixed in such as menswear and jewelry.
Fifth and Broadway – Here there are shops, restaurants and music mixed in to make for a vibrant street.
The Gulch – This area includes mixed shops where you can find some cool Nashville attire. Lucchese Boot Company is here if you are looking for high-end boots to add to your wardrobe. Expensive but nice.
There are many more places to eat, shop, and play, however, this list is a nice way to spend a long weekend exploring and getting a feel for the city. Once you get there you will definitely find your own favorites!
